BIO201 - Medical Microbiology

Course Description

Designed for nursing and other allied health students. This course will provide an introduction to the basic concepts and practices of microbiology, with a focus on the effect of microorganisms on health and human disease. Lecture portions of the course will address basic biology and chemistry of microorganisms, pathogenesis, host defense and immunity and human diseases. The laboratory component of this course will be used reiterate the aforementioned concepts.
