This course will focus on the use of the computer as an illustration tool. You will first be exposed to computer illustration basics, use of primitive drawing tools in an illustration program and line as a design element. You will then be instructed in the alteration of primitives to create irregular shapes and color fills. You will additionally be instructed in the use of typography as an illustration element. Additionally, you will be exposed to the concept of clip art and legal and ethical issues involved in their use.
