This course examines digital logic design and introduces the basic operation of a von Neumann machine and the MIPS instruction set architecture. Topics include basic AND/OR/NOT gates, combinational circuits built from the basic gates, and sequential logic and implementation of sequential circuits as well as systems administration task, networking and other issues relating to hardware.
