This is an intensive and applied course designed to provide advanced doctoral students with the opportunity to design and complete a small-scale applied pilot study in order to prepare them to conduct their actual dissertation research. The emphasis of this course is on the collection, management, analysis, and interpretation of qualitative data. Readings and class discussion focus on ways to improve the design, rigor, and reporting of advanced qualitative research studies.
