HRL404 - Employment Law

Course Description

A comprehensive study and review of the applicable laws and legislation that impact the employment environment of today. This course provides the human resource manager a sound understanding and appreciation of concepts of personnel law. Among these are the fundamentals of employment discrimination law, negligent hiring, supervision, retention and training, federal compensation law, parental and family rights and accommodation in the workplace, employee privacy issues, health and safety issues, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and other relevant theories.
