This course deals with the development, legal environment, and current issues related to the labor relations system found in the United States. Emphasis is placed on the historical evolution of both the union movement and the laws that helped shape the system. The industrial relations system is further compared with those systems found abroad to give the student a global perspective, as well as the review of collective bargaining found in the commercial and governmental arenas.
