This course will introduce students to the nation’s public health systems including an overview of the core functions of Public Health and the 10 essential public health services. Students will examine a variety of strategies to promote health, prevent disease and prolong life among populations and communities, including behavioral, population and policy change, mass media approaches, and community-based interventions.
