A study of architectural building systems and construction methods including wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, acoustics, and building materials and their impact on the design of interior spaces. Issues enhancing public health, safety, and welfare will be emphasized as these systems are integrated into the built environment. Indoor air quality, structural systems, plumbing, energy efficiency, security, building controls, thermal systems, data/voice, and telecommunication will be studied.
