PHT209 - Medication Safety

Credit Hours: 4 – Not Designed to Transfer

Course Description

Students will learn about the mechanism and roots of medication errors and their consequences for patients and health care in general. This course is an introduction to the availability of various technologies applicable to the delivery of pharmacy care, their impact on pharmacy practice, and their applications to patient care.??Coursework will focus on health literacy, cultural competency, and promoting medication safety and error prevention.
